The perfect wine pairing of the moment: Pouilly-Fuissé & pumpkin. Here is a simple and tasty recipe of pumpkin soup:
Ingredients : 1 pumpkin, – 2 potatoes, – 1 clove of garlic, – 2 onions, – 1L of milk, – 10 cl of fresh cream, – 1 teaspoon of curry, – 1 pinch of nutmeg , – 1 bay leaf, – salt and pepper
Remove the bark and pips from the pumpkin and cut the flesh into large pieces.
Peel the potatoes and then cut into pieces.
In a deep saucepan, cook garlic and onions in butter or olive oil.
Add the pieces of pumpkin, potatoes and milk with bay leaves. Close the pan and cook, stir regularly for about 20 minutes.
Once the potatoes and potimarron cooked, add salt, pepper, curry, nutmeg and fresh cream.
Can be accomodate with bacon for example.
