Vintage 2025: a promising balance between freshness and generosity

The 2025 vintage is set to give rise to wines combining maturity, finesse of tannins and aromatic freshness. Wines that capture all the generosity of our emblematic grape varieties, Gamay Noir and Chardonnay.

🌱 A contrasting spring
In Beaujolais and Mâconnais, rainfall was above the average of the past twenty years, with significant variations across different areas. While a few hailstorms affected Juliénas and Saint-Amour, the drier and sunnier months of May and June compared to the previous year allowed for optimal flowering. June was particularly hot (the hottest since 1993), before a return to more moderate temperatures in July that encouraged steady vine growth.

☀️ A hot but balanced summer
A heatwave in early August caused partial berry shrivelling on south-facing slopes, slightly reducing yields. Fortunately, a welcome cool spell and timely rainfall around 20 August restored water balance and refined both aromatic and phenolic ripeness. Harvest began as early as 25 August in Mâconnais and 29 August in Beaujolais, about a week earlier than average.

🍷 Our 2025 wines
This year, the outstanding quality of the harvest allowed us to opt for slightly shorter macerations than in previous years (on average 14 to 15 days). The wines display a fine balance between aromas and tannins. 2025 is a ripe vintage, yet not excessively sunny, preserving the freshness and generosity of our Gamay Noir and Chardonnay.

A promising vintage that expresses the full richness and diversity of our Beaujolais and Mâconnais terroirs.
