About us

Our Maison has been firmly rooted for over 300 years in the heart of Beaujolais & Mâconnais with Domaines Loron and Domaines Auvigue. Our leitmotiv is the sustainable preservation of our heritage in Beaujolais and Mâconnais and their exceptional terroirs.

Our roots start in the village of Chardonnay and then Fuissé to discover our restored Romanesque church where we vinify our Pouilly-Fuissé Premiers Crus wines. They continue in our vineyards of Crus of Saint-Amour, Juliénas, Chénas, Moulin à Vent, Fleurie, Morgon with our Château Bellevue, Brouilly, Régnié and in our Beaujolais-Villages of Lantignié and Perréon. Opening the door of Maison Jean Loron is the promise of discovering, in Beaujolais, one of the 213 Global Geoparks listed by UNESCO and in Mâconnais, the Roche de Solutré, listed as a remarkable site. Today, more than ever, we embody the Nouveaux Grands Vins de Terroirs from Chardonnay and Gamay Noir.

Over the last 15 years, restructuring Domaines Loron’s vineyards has enabled us to optimize the conditions in which we grow our vines. Thanks to the innovative and rigorous agronomic practices managed by Rémi Vincent’s teams, our vines have acquired the best conditions and a real resilience capacity to face climatic variations.
The maintenance of this wonderful 220-hectare wine heritage has made Maison Jean Loron a reference in the vineyard. Today, 50% of our vineyards have been restructured, enabling us to successfully pursue our agro-environmental projects: mechanical tillage, planting vegetation cover during the winter and preserving biodiversity.

Maison Jean Loron has one foot in the Beaujolais and one in the Mâconnais with Domaines Auvigue. Precision work is carried out by our teams to bring out the magical terroirs of Pouilly-Fuissé. Chardonnay and Gamay Noir grapes are the fruit of meticulous know-how, with the aim to produce great wines that express their terroirs of origin with precision and purity.

Photo : The Roche de Solutré, labelled “Grand Site de France” by the Ministry of Ecology, is also famous Prehistorical landmark.

The story begins over 300 years ago, with Jean Loron on the steep Beaujolais hillsides in the heart of the village of Chénas. Over the centuries, the Loron heirs acquired several properties and restructured the adjoining vineyards.

In 1821, Jean-Marie Loron decided to set up his own business and wine centre.

Over the years, Jean Loron’s descendants have forged solid partnerships on renowned terroirs in the Beaujolais and Mâconnais regions.

A remarkable site in the heart of the vineyards : The Tour Bourdon, located on the plots of Château de la Terrière, is listed as Beaujolais Geopark by UNESCO.
