From Wine Churches to Burgundy's Iconic Stone Landmarks

Your journey begins in Juliénas, one of the most emblematic villages of Beaujolais. In the heart of the village, step inside the Vieille Église (Old Church), a place steeped in history that now houses both the Juliénas appellation tasting cellar and the winery where our Juliénas wines are crafted. Blending heritage with wine culture, this former church has been transformed into a vibrant destination, offering an authentic introduction to the soul of Beaujolais. Take time to explore the village’s welcoming atmosphere before enjoying lunch at Le Coq, one of the area’s landmark restaurants, renowned for its authentic cuisine and warm hospitality.

Then make your way to Fuissé and Domaines Auvigue. A guided tasting completes the experience, offering a memorable journey through both heritage and winemaking expertise.

Your journey continues through the rolling landscapes of the Mâconnais to Berzé-le-Châtel. Overlooking the vineyards for nearly a thousand years, its impressive medieval fortress is one of Burgundy’s most remarkable castles. With its imposing ramparts, beautifully preserved architecture, and breathtaking views over the surrounding countryside, it offers a true journey back in time.

Your final stop is the Abbey of Cluny, one of the most important centres of medieval Christianity and a lasting symbol of Burgundy’s cultural influence. Visiting this exceptional site provides a deeper understanding of a region shaped over centuries by its people, its stone, and its vineyards.
