Domaines Auvigue Join the BIVB Prestige Cellar

Domaines Auvigue are delighted to announce that their Mâcon-Fuissé 2022 has been selected for inclusion in the Prestige Cellar of the Bourgogne Wine Board (BIVB), a distinction that each year recognises the wines that best represent the appellations of Burgundy.

The BIVB Prestige Cellar

Created in 1971, the Prestige Cellar is far more than a simple competition. Each year, the selected wines become the official ambassadors of Burgundy wines during the BIVB’s major promotional events, both in France and around the world. They are showcased at masterclasses, professional tastings and press events, and are also used by the Burgundy Wine School for educational and training purposes.

The selection process is particularly demanding. Wines are first tasted blind by panels of wine industry experts. Those awarded a score of at least 16/20 are then presented to a “Super Jury”, which selects the wines considered exceptional and worthy of representing their appellation for one year.

Mâcon-Fuissé 2022 – Domaines Auvigue

Our Mâcon-Fuissé comes from a little-known appellation produced in very limited quantities in the village of Fuissé. Aged on fine lees after temperature-controlled fermentation, this wine reveals a beautifully balanced expression combining minerality, roundness and elegance. It is an ideal match for oysters, cooked fish, tapas, hummus and goat’s cheese.

This selection for the Prestige Cellar recognises the dedication and expertise of the entire Domaines Auvigue team, who have been committed for generations to showcasing the outstanding terroirs of the Mâconnais.
