Our responsibility tied to the profession of winemaker

Aware that winegrowing excellence cannot be conceived without responsibility, Domaines Loron and Auvigue anchor their development in a comprehensive responsible approach, combining respect for terroirs, human commitment, and a high standard of quality. Heirs to more than three centuries of expertise, we are deeply committed to passing on a living heritage by anticipating environmental, climate, and social challenges, in order to build a sustainable, resilient, and forward-looking viticulture.

The only producer present in 8 of the 10 Beaujolais crus and a vineyard owner in the Mâconnais, we cultivate our vines with high standards, grounded in an in-depth knowledge of soils, careful observation of the ecosystem, and anticipation of change.

One of the best examples is our commitment for over 15 years to restructuring our vineyards in Beaujolais: today, with more than 62% of our vines renewed, we have been able to adapt our agronomic practices through an innovative and rigorous approach, enhancing the vines’ resilience to climatic hazards and, consequently, ensuring their longevity.

Our responsibility is also human and social. A team of 40 employees works year-round in the vineyards and cellars of Domaines Loron and Auvigue, within an organization designed to value skills, ensure the transmission of expertise, and guarantee working conditions suited to the diversity of our estates.

In the cellar, our sustainable approach continues: inspired since the 2000s by the legacy of Jules Chauvet, we vinify and age our red wines without added sulphur, and we use only minimal doses of sulphur at bottling, in order to preserve the natural aromatic expression of Gamay.

We pay extremely close attention to the production process of each of our cuvées. Our ability to craft safe, authentic, and high-quality wines takes place in strict compliance with regulatory requirements and our clients’ specifications. This process is overseen by the IFS certification, which attests to responsible, traceable practices that meet the highest global industry standards.

A structured approach established over several years

A structured approach established over several years

Working every day with the utmost humility that our nature-dependent profession demands, while taking responsibility for the impacts of our decisions, go hand in hand. Our structured approach, in place for several years and certified Engagé RSE, drives us to make progress through concrete actions that also benefit our employees and neighbors:

  • We prioritize sustainable measures wherever possible: eco-design of packaging (lightweight bottles, FSC paper), responsible energy use, and reduction of disposable materials.

  • Our employees enjoy suitable working conditions, renovated offices for well-being, daily safety measures, and ongoing training, all within a culture of transparency and dialogue that fosters personal growth and alignment with our values.

  • Local engagement is at the heart of our approach, through partnerships that promote the vineyard and the region while supporting the local economy.
