Philippe Bardet appointed President of Inter Beaujolais !

Philippe Bardet, who has been CEO of Maison Jean Loron for the past 8 years, is now President of Inter Beaujolais where he is carrying the flag for an entire region that is moving upmarket and finding its way towards younger connoisseurs.

🍇 “Today, our industry is solid and united. I sense that Beaujolais winegrowers are proud to belong to the vineyard. I sense a new-found confidence in their wines, and a desire to rebuild a modern vineyard capable of meeting the challenges dictated by climate change and our responsibilities towards the environment”, enthuses Philippe Bardet, with one great idea in mind. “To raise awareness of what Beaujolais wines are ; new great terroir wines. That’s the great goal of my presidency!”

🖋 Philippe Bardet intends to continue the transformation set in motion by the vineyard since 2016, all the while insisting on the need for Beaujolais to meet three challenges, both technical and commercial:

▶ The urgent need to replant lost areas and restore Gamay to its rightful place in the vineyard.
▶ To become a leader in the category of new great terroir wines.
▶ Attract outside investment, not just for wine, but also for hotels and tourism.
