“Gamay is in tune with the times”

Gamay is in tune with the times

The editorial in Le Monde released on Friday emphasizes: “The comeback of a despised grape variety.” It is indeed in Beaujolais, the land of granite and blue stones, where the challenges of water and nutrient constraints push this grape variety to transcend the multiple nuances of a great vineyard classified as a UNESCO Global Geopark (Beaujolais UNESCO Global Geopark).

With vines cultivated directly across 8 of the 10 Beaujolais crus, the men and women working within the different Domains of Loron play an active role in preserving this precious heritage.

And the article concludes with something tangible: the wines!
Saint-Amour “Le Carjot” Domaine de la Pirolette – Domaines Loron 2022 >> “As soon as the bottle is opened, you sense you’re in for a quality wine. It’s complex and offers the gourmand its fresh fruits – berries, currants – flowers like violets, and lightly peppered spices. You greatly enjoy this smoothly crafted and promptly tasted cuvée.”
