During the prestigious James Suckling 2025 tasting competition, several of our cuvées were awarded, reflecting the expertise and commitment of our teams, from vineyard to cellar.

Our awarded cuvées:

• Château Bellevue, Morgon Javernières 2023 – 95/100 – « Plenty of wet earth and savory character on the generous medium-bodied palate. Lots of structure and richness. Here’s a classic example of how a touch of volatile acidity (vinegar) can really lift a powerful, concentrated red wine. Stacks of fine tannins drive the long, silky finish. Sustainable. Drink from release. »
• Château Bellevue, Morgon Les Charmes 2023 – 92/100 – « This medium-bodied red shows strawberries, peaches and oranges on the nose, followed by a crisp, crunchy and very fine-grained palate. Nicely tight and focused finish. Drink from 2026. »
• Château Bellevue, Fleurie Montgenas 2023 – 92/100 – « This sleek, medium-bodied red has strawberries, rosehips, redbush tea and aniseed on the nose, as well as some soy. It’s fresh and silky with a savory, tea-like touch. Drink now.”
• Château Bellevue, Morgon Côte du Py 2023 – 94/100 – « A really elegant and sleek expression of Cote du Py with fine tannins and a pronounced stony minerality on the medium-bodied palate. Impressive energy in the long, focused finish. Sustainable. Drink or hold. “
• Château Bellevue, Morgon Grand Cras 2023 – 94/100 – « Ripe and generous but also well-structured, this is a powerful and warm Morgon. The ample fine tannins underline the fantastic ripe-cherry and black-raspberry aromas beautifully. Long, silky finish. From 70-year-old vines planted at 11,000 vines per hectare. Sustainable. Drink or hold. »
• Château Bellevue, Beaujolais Blanc Princesse Lieven 2023 – 92/100 – « An elegant white Beaujolais with good richness and very good candied-citrus aromas. Medium- bodied with nice creaminess and lively, chalky acidity. Fermented and matured half and half in oak casks and stainless steel tanks. Sustainable. Drink or hold.”
• Château Bellevue, Morgon Corcelette Le Clos 2023 – 94/100 – « A rich and fleshy expression of Morgon but with beautiful balance. Excellent red-berry aromas are married to fine tannins and an elegant acidity for this vintage. Limited production matured in a mix of barrels and amphora. Sustainable. Drink from release.”
• Domaine de la Pirolette, Saint-Amour 2023 – 92/100 – « This shows spiced, slightly toasty aromas of ripe red and dark fruit. Fleshy and broad on the palate, it has a medium body with a dusty texture to its tannins. Structured, with a juicy, energetic pace. Drink now or hold”
• Domaine de la Pirolette, Saint-Amour Le Carjot 2023 – 92/100 – « Fragrant aromas of cherries, oranges, crushed stones and strawberries follow through to a sleek, crisp and medium-bodied palate. Light but persistent mineral and herb undertones at the end. Drink now or hold.” »
• Domaine de la Pirolette, Saint-Amour La Poulette 2023 – 93/100 – « Crushed wild berries, fresh citrus and savory herbs and spices on the nose. Medium-bodied with dusty tannins, it has vivid acidity and a well-defined structure. Focused and bright, with a tense, juicy aftertaste. Drink or hold” »
• Domaine de la Vieille Eglise, Juliénas 2023 – 93/100 – « A powerful and vibrant expression of Beaujolais’ volcanic terroir, this has serious tannins, wonderful mineral acidity and a long, structured finish. At the upper limit of medium-bodied but with excellent energy. Drink or hold.”
• Château de la Pierre, Brouilly Bonnège 2023 – 93/100 – « A powerful but crisply mineral expression of this terroir. It’s clean and bright but has good depth on the medium-bodied palate. Quite a firm finish but with excellent freshness. Drink or hold.” »
