Vine pruning is in full swing at the moment

Each vine is unique and is pruned depending on how it grows, with some requiring greater renewal of old wood than others.

The aim is to ensure optimal growth balance between leaf cover and fruit production in season. Our vines are pruned meticulously, with the quality of the future harvest firmly in our sights. We pay very particular attention to our vines in their formative years. Here the way the vine’s backbone develops is paramount. Finally, the prunings are gathered together in faggots between the rows of vines then chipped and spread in the vineyard enhance soil function.
