2022, the vintage in 3rd position for sunshine record…

We are June 24. After several days of heat wave, our plots recorded several tens of millimeters of precipitation at the beginning of summer. These moderate waterings undoubtedly make it possible to envisage (once again!) an excellent vintage.

Every year, Maison Jean Loron works towards promoting its terroirs, improving vine cultivation techniques, training its staff towards expertise, building a worldwide reputation for its crus .

What about 2022 vintage ?

2022 will be early : harvesting will begin in august!

2022 will be hot, very hot with temperature records already broken!

2022 is set to be generous with a good berry cluster average !

Despite a cold wave arrived during the first few days of April after an early bud break in March, sunlight is remarkable, ranking in third position behind the very beautiful 2011 and 2020 vintages…quite promising!

In the vineyard, even if vine growth is extremely fast and results in a heavy workload, the situation is much more serene than in 2021, with perfectly healthy plots and good berry cluster development.

But there’s everything left to play for !

Hail, heatwave, drought, anything can happen…Climate change is behind sudden and unpredictable events therefore it is best not to say too much and just hope…
