DOMAINES LORON IN THE GUIDE HACHETTE OF WINES 2025

The Guide Hachette is celebrating its 40th anniversary. The principles have not changed since then: an independent guide, blind tastings and the awarding of just 500 ‘Coup de Coeur’ for 35,000 wines tasted.

SAINT-AMOUR DNE DE LA PIROLETTE 2022 – 1 star
A wine that brings together several lieux-dits around the village, vinified ‘gently’ (immersed grape cap), to offer a wine of fine consistency, long, that evokes fresh grapes with finesse.

SAINT-AMOUR DOMAINE DE LA PIROLETTE LA POULETTE 2022 – 3 stars Coup de Coeur
This cuvée is emblematic of the parcel-by-parcel work carried out by the estate to bring out the best in the terroirs of the cru. From the La Poulette vineyard, with its pink granite and clay soils, this Saint-Amour stands out for its great intensity and its many nuances of flavour (red and black fruits, spices, floral notes). This aromatic complexity is accompanied by great length and an elegant, fine texture. Another special feature of this wine is its long ageing, 16 months, in a concrete egg.

FLEURIE 2022 du CHÂTEAU DE FLEURIE – 1 star
This cuvée is a blend of some of the finest terroirs in the appellation. The Loron team vinified the grapes whole for a fortnight. In the glass, a wine with an elegant, harmonious texture and notes of ripe black fruit enhanced by a touch of spice. A pleasure that won’t wait.

BROUILLY 2022 ChÂTEAU DE LA TERRIERE – 1 star
Whole bunch vinification for grapes grown in soil composed of decomposed pink granite and clay. A winning approach for this cuvée with concentrated notes of blackcurrant, blackberry and redcurrant, harmonious on the palate and a balanced blend of roundness and power.
