Wines Organic and no added sulphite wines

Settled between the Roche of Solutré in Mâconnais and Moulin-à-Vent in Beaujolais, Maison Jean Loron is one of the most longstanding and largest vine owners in south Burgundy. Its winegrowing origins date back to 1711. This Beaujolais is produced from organically farmed vines.

Clayey-schisty-sandy soil on slope, 400 m in altitude.

Manual harvest at full maturity, whole or destemmed depending on the vintage and stem maturity. Temperature-controlled maceration in the beginning in order to manage alcoholic fermentation speed, daily pump-over and punching in the end.

This organic Fleurie, with a beautiful harmony on the palate, comes from vines grown according to organic farming methods.

A terroir of pink weathered granite with large crystals.

Temperature-controlled maceration for 15 to 20 days, gentle extraction in order to release silky tannins in the end.

This Régnié, which reveals beautiful melted tannins and a rather freshness balance. It is a wine without added sulphite developed with a non-interventionist philosophy based on observation.

Very old vines on a gravely soils made of pink granite.

Small berries picked at perfect maturity, gentle extraction of tanins by slow punch downs followed by an ageing period on fine lees. No added sulfites at any stage.

The 750 hectares of vines in the Pouilly Fuissé appellation is dominated by the two rocky outcrops of Solutré and Vergisson. This Organic Pouilly-Fuissé gives aromas of grapefruit and apple complemented by an elegant spicy touch of cinnamon, on a background of toast.

The vineyards, located on the villages of Chaintré and Fuissé, aged over 65 years, benefit from an east/south-east orientation and a clay-limestone soil, shallow, very rich. Culture with respect for nature and the environment and according to the methods of Organic Agriculture.

Direct grapes pressing after arrival at the winery. Winemaking in stainless steel vat with an ageing for 12 months on fine lees. No bonding, light filtration.

This organic Coteaux Bourguignons is a complex wine with round and soft tanins, full of fresh.

On the south tip of the Mâconnais vineyard, Saint-Véran is a renowned cru since 1971. This wine is produced from organically farmed vines.

Grey marl soil on a scree slope, with a beautiful south-west exposure.

Parcels are cultivated respecting the soil and the vine’s biodiversity, with a reasoned yield in order to obtain ripe and balanced grapes. Minimal intervention during vinification; respect of grape
integrity during press fill.

Our chief winemaker Jean-Pierre Rodet first made wine under the guidance of Jules Chauvet, the famous winemaker recognised as the “father” of the natural wine movement. Crafted with absolutely no addition of sulphite, RIFT 71 expresses itself with a generous mouth and fresh notes of candied ginger.

Formed over 200 million years ago, the hills of the Mâconnais form the vineyard’s playground of RIFT 71. Grapes of Chardonnay draw its typicity from a terroir of divers and old origins and composition.

RIFT 71 is crafted with absolutely no addition of sulphite from harvesting to bottling. Maturing is in stainless steel vats over fine lees protected from oxygen feeds. This specific winemaking confers RIFT 71 pleasantly surprising aromas for this Chardonnay from the Mâconnais. Intriguing and entancing notes in comparison with the usual expressions of the Mâconnais white wines.

Its technical director, Jean-Pierre Rodet, first made wine under the guidance of Jules Chauvet, recognised as the “father” of the natural wine movements. RIFT 69 is crafted with absolutely no addition of sulphite from harvesting to bottling. This wine gives off cherry, blackberry and bilberry aromas, embellished with spicy and mineral notes.

Many millions of years ago, a north-south rift formed in the earth’s crust giving rise to the highland that today forms the Beaujolais-Villages appellation area. Here, the steep and complex terroirs that are made up of granitic, magmatic and metamorphic rock allow the Gamay Noir grape to brilliantly express its personality.

RIFT 69 is crafted with absolutely no addition of sulphite from harvesting to bottling. Maceration of the partially de-stemmed grapes, that were hand-picked at peak ripeness, is in stainless steel vats and lasts around a fortnight.
